ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONBILITIES:

  • Supervise, manage and oversee the Behavior Solutions department and management of their services
  • Direct clinical leadership, development and advancement of operational clinical strategies to promote Company objectives and strategies.
  • Develop strategies to increase and expand the clinical program and promote and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring and retaining all Behavior Solutions personnel employees; facilitating a team atmosphere among staff.
  • Responsible for conducting performance appraisals of all Behavior Solutions personnel.
  • Promotes positive employee relations by facilitating an atmosphere of open communication and problem solving.
  • Monitors and assists with personnel compliance standards including required credentials, corrective actions, and improvement plans when needed.
  • Investigates, follows up and assists in the resolution of staff, service and consumer-related issues as required.
  • Ensures the delivery of services are rendered in compliance with regulatory and program standards.
  • Reviews the quality and appropriateness of the delivery of behavior therapy services and individual programs for effectiveness and efficiency, using pre-determined criteria.
  • Oversees the scheduling of clients and analysts, ensuring adequate coverage
  • Actively leads and participates in Quality Assurance initiatives and meetings as required.
  • Participate in chart audits, and other quality assurance activities as requested.
  • Participate in utilization review activities as requested.
  • Attend and lead Team Meetings in an organized manner (agenda, etc.) to disperse Behavior Solutions related information and ensure preparedness and representation at such meetings.
  • Monitor documentation such as plans of care to ensure that services do not lapse or cause a gap in services; skilled services are provided; and staff instructions are completed timely and reviewed annually as required.
  • Demonstrate superior customer service through professionalism, courtesy, consistent and timely follow-up, and positive communication.
  • Provide and facilitate training, in-service education and professional development as needed.
  • Ensure the provision of treatment in accordance with established standards of practice, department procedures and standards according to company guidelines.
  • Consistently demonstrate sound judgment in the evaluation, planning, implementation and follow up of behavioral therapy programs.
  • Adhere to and maintain compliance with all company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Adhere to and maintain privacy and confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and personally identifiable information (PII) for both clients and employees in accordance with applicable laws and regulations including the HIPAA and HITECH as applicable.
  • Ensure a safe environment and utilize tools and equipment in a safe manner complying with all infection control, universal precautions, and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional.
  • Report all hazardous conditions including incidents, injuries and equipment to Supervisor/appropriate personnel immediately.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends, compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements concerning clinical service; recommending appropriate actions to management and ensures organization’s compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently licensed in Texas as a Licensed Behavior Analyst or licensed as a Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Psychological Associate and in good professional standing. Must maintain all required professional licensure throughout duration of employment.
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience.
  • Previous management/supervisory experience in leadership role.
  • Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities and mental illness.
  • Experience writing and monitoring positive behavior support programs.
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of service delivery and integrated treatment team approaches.
  • Experience training individuals to use Applied Behavior Analysis in natural settings.
  • Outstanding written, communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization including executive management, external entities and stakeholders.
  • Must have strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to be calm in stressful situations.
  • Adapts to changes in responsibilities in a positive manner, is receptive to new ways of completing tasks, and is flexible in carrying out assignments.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written direction.
  • Must be able to travel as needed.
  • Knowledge of mental illness.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid waiver programs.
