Job Description


  • Direct supervision of House Managers.
  • Conduct monthly individual House Manager supervision meetings.
  • Consult with Area/Program Director in hiring, evaluation, training, supervising, and discipline of House Managers and Direct Care Staff.
  • Work with House Managers to ensure all houses are staffed according to the staffing plan.
  • Conduct first interviews for direct care staff, and then work with House Managers to assign new staff to houses and shifts.
  • Consult with Program/Executive Director in hiring, evaluation, training, supervising, and discipline of Direct Care Staff.
  • Conduct monthly House Manager meetings.
  • IMonitor schedules and follow-up on exceptions as identified through reporting
  • Follow-up on all maintenance needs to assure homes are safe, clean, and in good repair.
  • Receive and review all Residential Service Support logs for completeness and accuracy, and submit to corporate office within established timelines.
  • Be available to consult with Case Service Managers/QIDPs and Nurses concerning emergency situations in the residential program.
  • Work with House Managers to ensure that all direct care staff working in a specific home has specific training on the consumers in that home as required.
  • Oversight of Medication Administration practices.
  • Conduct at least one (1) unannounced visit at each home monthly, alternating shifts.


  • Must have High School Diploma/GED or successful completion of competency exam with three (3) references.
  • Bachelors degree in a social service and/or related field, preferred.
  • Must have the ability to deal tactfully with others, to exercise good judgment, to understand and follow written and oral instructions, and to express ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Special consideration given to applicant with previous experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Maintain valid driver’s license, meet all insurance requirements and be approved by management to be a driver for D&S.
  • Must be able to successfully complete all required training.
